• Handbag: Anya Hindmarch Small Elrod

• Are handbags status symbols? They can be, but I look at designer handbags as more of a fine collectable. Sure they cost a pretty penny up front, but they only get better with age.

• What does this bag say about you? It shows my attention to detail. The brilliant j-hook feature is what sold me on the bag -- love it.

• If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think about you? Traditional, on-the-go business gal. All the essentials to get me through the day, including a bag of almonds in case meetings make me work through lunch.

• What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? My identity -- driver's license, credit card, BlackBerry. That's extremely important in today's day and age where identify theft is on the rise.

• What's the strangest? Flip-flops. Working long days in heels takes a toll on my feet. As soon as I exit an event, they are the first thing I put on for the car ride home.

• Tell us about the first special bag you owned. I'd probably have to say this one, my Anya Hindmarch. I credit my handbag taste to my current position at The Shoppes at The Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes. Being around these luxurious brands has made me realize the superior craftsmanship and time to create such luxurious things.

• Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Hate 'em. They are usually poor quality and fall apart too easily. Women should embrace bags at every price point. It doesn't always have to be a top designer brand to make them feel good about what they carry.

• Image is ... the essence of human branding; it is confidence, style and fine taste.

• What's in your bag? Dior makeup bag, Tiffany & Co. business card holder, Palazzo lip balm, BlackBerry phone, Dior lip gloss, Orbit gum.
