Cuts for a Cause: The Shag Me Salon is holding its second annual Shag-a-Thon Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., where patrons can get a wash/cut for a $20 donation. Walk-ins only, regular customers can request their favorite stylist. All proceeds, including stylist's tips, will be donated to American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Smart Art: The Contemporary Arts Center presents the Hot Hot Haute event, a fashion wearable art runway show exhibition, at the top of the World Market Center on Oct. 24. The curation committee for the CAC is asking for wearable art submissions for the CAC 20th anniversary celebration. Forward a description or sketch of the work to studiowest@lvcm.com by late August. Final art must be submitted by Sept. 24. Entries may be submitted or sent to the CAC, 107 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 120, Las Vegas, NV 89104. All proceeds from the auction may be split 50/50 with the CAC or artist may donate the funds entirely.
