New Year: Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort is celebrating the arrival of 2010 by launching a daylong countdown to midnight on the center's Strip-side LED screens. At the top of every hour today, the center's LED screens will feature a countdown and happy 2010 message as various cities throughout the world enter the new year. The first countdown and celebration message will occur at 1 p.m. as the clock strikes midnight in Moscow. The screens also will broadcast Miracle Mile Shops' holiday video messages.

Sak it to Me: Saks Fifth Avenue hosts a Masha Archer trunk show through Friday in the jewelry department. The department store also hosts a Siyance trunk show through Sunday in the jewelry department.

Claire's Contest: Claire's, the popular teen accessories destination, introduces its first "Bling Your BFF" contest. Teens can visit any Claire's store, try on the hottest jewelry and accessories, snap photos of their fashion style and upload them to the site blingyourbff.com. The best "Holiday Party Look" to dazzle the judges will win a Claire's shopping spree, a limo ride to the store with up to four friends and a chance to be featured on Claire's Web site and Facebook page.
