Sunrise Hospital rated ‘high performing’ in three areas
Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center was the only Nevada hospital to be recognized by US News & World Report in its annual survey of hospitals.
In the Best Regional Hospitals category, Sunrise - though it did not qualify for a national ranking in any speciality - was regarded as "high performing" in neurology/neurosurgery, gynecology and nephrology.
Performance is based largely on objective measures of hospital performance, such as patient survival rates, and structural resources, such as nurse staffing levels.
Nevada was one of eight states where hospitals were not given a state ranking because it did not have two high-performing hospitals where at least one of them was either nationally ranked in one specialty or high-performing in at least four specialities.
