Candles help raise Hope for breast cancer organization

Root Candles has introduced a new line of fragrances designed exclusively for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Legacy by Root Hope Candle will be offered in three distinct fragrances: port Cozumel, golden chrysanthemum and fresh lime blossom.

Port Cozumel is described as Anguilla passionfruit, mango and papaya nectar enhanced with island starfruit and meyer lemon blended with coconut milk and tonka bean sheered with an island breeze of white musk to capture a tropical paradise.

Golden chrysanthemum offers the healing powers of persimmon and tangelo, which are intertwined with Indian marigold and cyclamen petals floating upon rosewater tea along with blue sage and rosemary.

Fresh lime blossom is a fresh green fragrance with notes of cut grass, green tea, cucumber dew, lime blossom, lemon zest, white cyclamen, jasmine petals, violet leaves and musk.

Ten percent of the retail price for each candle will support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure program, with Root Candles guaranteeing a minimum $25,000 donation.

"Root is very proud to offer the Hope Candle to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest breast cancer organization," said Brad Root, president. "This partnership allows our fantastic customer base an opportunity to show their support for individuals fighting breast cancer."

Each Hope candle sells for $30.

The program supporting the cancer organization continues through Dec. 31 at select retailers across the country and online at www.rootcandles.com.
