Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, moderate to strenuous six-mile hike along the White Rock Loop trail. On Wednesday, moderate hike to Calico Tanks. On Friday, a three-and-a-half mile moderate hike with some scrambling through Echo Canyon. Also on Friday, an easy, one-mile bird watching hike. On Saturday, a moderate three-to-four mile hike at First Creek. Also on Saturday, a road trip to Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge (515-5367).

OTHER PROGRAMS

Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, a 25-minute discussion on the history of Red Rock Canyon. Ongoing from 1 p.m. at the visitor center. On Friday, program for 2-6 year olds about the Antelope Ground Squirrel with a craft and activity. On Thursday, help plant native plants in the Moapa Wildlife Refuge. On Saturday, a program for 5-10 year olds on the importance of recycling with activities and crafts (515-5367).
