SERVICES

Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road, will offer Easter services at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. today and 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday (658-2722).

First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson, will offer a 6 a.m. Easter Sunday service in the parking lot followed by a continental breakfast. Other services will include a Celebration and Praise service at 8 a.m. and traditional service at 11 a.m. Sunday (568-6409).

First Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will offer Easter Sunday services at
8:30 and 11 a.m. (384-4554).

Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., will host its 28th annual Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The service will feature an inspirational message by the Rev. Leo Wood, a ceremonial release of doves, live music and entertainment, a complimentary continental breakfast and an appearance by the Easter Bunny (464-8500).

Redrock Baptist Church, 5500 Alta Drive, will offer an Easter Sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday followed by a community breakfast. The church will also offer an 11 a.m. service, followed by its annual Easter egg hunt (870-9198).

South Hills Church Community, 9220 Manhattan Road, Henderson, will offer an Easter Saturday service at 5:30 p.m. today and Easter services at 6, 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday (616-6700).

Summerlin Lutheran Church, 1911 Pueblo Vista Drive, will have Easter services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday (254-8431).

Summerlin Presbyterian Church, 4590 S. Hualapai Way, will offer Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. (243-0780).

EVENTS

Shadow Hills Church Music and Creative Arts Ministries will present “Betrayal: The Last Supper” at 5 p.m. today at the church at 7811 Vegas Drive. Admission is free and child care will be provided for ages 4 and younger (880-7811).

Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road, will offer an Easter event featuring a barbecue from noon to 1:30 p.m. today. The fee for the barbecue is $3. A free egg hunt will be at 1 p.m. (658-2722).

The Silver State Ushers of Nevada will present “Officers on Parade” at 2 p.m. April 6 at Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. The fundraiser will showcase the newly elected and appointed officers of the organization, which features church ushers, nurses and greeters, and include a performance by the male chorus of Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. J.O.Y. Ministry is having its spring Ladies Prayer Breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon April 13 in Social Hall “B” at Sun City Aliante Community Center, 7394 Aliante Parkway, North Las Vegas. The entrance fee is $5 and includes a continental breakfast, music, Christ-centered Bible study and outreach fellowship with devotional study packets, theme-related gift tokens, games, drawings and prizes. South Hills Church Community, 9220 Manhattan Road, Henderson, will have its annual Student Ministries Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13. Proceeds from the sale will be used to lower the cost of summer camps for students (616-6700).

SINGLES GROUPS

60+ Singles Catholic Fellowship, open to men and women of the Catholic faith, meets the first Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. and the third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the Village Pub, 10900 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson (796-1953 or 989-5198).
