Season Preview filled with lots of laughs

Preview an entire season in one sitting when Las Vegas Little Theatre presents scenes from six shows Saturday and Sunday.

The local theater company will showcase short scenes in an unusual 2008-09 Season Preview from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, with performances at 7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m., and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, with performances at 2, 2:30, 3 and 3:30 p.m. The scenes will be presented in a Readers Theater-style in the Little Theatre, 3920 Schiff Drive.

Southern Nevada's longest-running community theater group will perform scenes from the six comedies that will make up its Mainstage season this year. Productions include "Moon Over Buffalo" by Ken Ludwig, "How the Other Half Loves" by Alan Ayckbourn, "The Ritz" by Terrence McNally, "House of Blue Leaves" by John Guare, "As Bees in Honey Drown" by Douglas Carter Beane and "The Bermuda Avenue Triangle" by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna.
