"Georgia Rule" (R): Almost universally panned when it played in theaters, this movie features a talented cast -- Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman and Lindsay Lohan -- in a confused and poorly executed story about alcoholism and sexual abuse that, seriously, wants to be a comedy, too.

Ted Nugent "Love Grenade": Wildlife beware, the Nuge is back.

Everybody's favorite bow shootin', deer devourin', trash talkin' guitarist, Ted Nugent, has returned with another typically understated effort, "Love Grenade."

With lots of flame-shootin' solos and such touching odes as "Funk U" and "Bridge Over Troubled Daughters," the Nuge takes aim at his biggest target: subtlety.

"Songs Without Words" (Knopf) by Ann Packer: In her long-awaited second novel, "The Dive from Clausen's Pier" author follows the lifelong friendship of Liz and Sarabeth, girls growing up in Northern California who are brought closer after the suicide of Sarabeth's mother. As the decades pass, Liz marries and has children while Sarabeth is haunted by her mother's death. A crisis with Liz's teenage daughter raises uncomfortable challenges for both women and tests the strength of their friendship.
