THE LIST: DVDs, CDs and books hitting stores this week
DVDS
"The Bank Job" (R): Heist movie fans, prepare for a treat with this fact-based tale, set in 1971 London, about petty thieves, led by a struggling mechanic (Jason Statham) and an ex-model (Saffron Burrows), who break into a Baker Street bank vault and collect a record haul -- including salacious photos that incriminate a member of the royal family. "The Bank Job" weaves a tangled web, but under the crisp direction of Roger Donaldson ("No Way Out"), the movie keeps multiple plot threads tangle-free and multiple colorful characters in orbit -- until their various worlds collide.
Also out today: "Step Up 2 the Streets" (PG-13); "Shutter" (available in R rated and Unrated editions); "Penelope" (PG); "College Road Trip" (G); "Meet Bill" (R); "The Year My Parents Went on Vacation" (Unrated); "The Curiosity of Chance" (Unrated); "Monsieur Vincent" (Unrated); and "Times and Winds" (Unrated).
