Here are a few things in news, entertainment and pop culture that we've been talking about lately.

■ The iHeartRadio Music Festival brings Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez and other stars to Las Vegas to promote Clear Channel Radio's smartphone app. Play the performances backward and you'll hear, "Help, I'm being held for ransom by corporate radio."

■ Thousands of protesters target Utah's "uptight" laws by running through downtown Salt Lake City in their underwear. That's not even a slow Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

■ Five of the Dead Sea Scrolls go online 2,000 years after they were written. And within minutes find themselves linked to a porn site.

■ The inventor of Doritos dies at age 97 and will be buried with the snack he created. A thousand years from now, archaeologists will ponder the significance of the orange triangles that we buried with our dead.
