Water Cooler: Pop culture fun, May 26

Here are a few things in pop culture that caught our eye recently.

■ “All Star Celebrity Apprentice” runner-up Penn Jillette ■ raises more than $800,000 for Opportunity Village. Here’s hoping the satisfaction of doing an awesome good deed is enough to cleanse Penn’s soul of having had to hang out with Donald Trump all those weeks.

■ Witnesses suspect that Pope Francis performed an after-Mass exorcism on a wheelchair-bound man in St. Peter’s Square. The pontiff then went off to order anything but pea soup for lunch.

■ Terrible’s Casino eliminates its giant cartoon cowboy as part of its rebranding as Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino. Luckily, Terrible’s ol’ trail pardner, the Marlboro Man, will be there to help him work through the grief.
