March 3, 2015 - 9:15 am
A downtown stabbing suspect led police on a chase on U.S. Highway 95 Tuesday morning.
Las Vegas police said a female was stabbed just after 7 a.m. at 50 21st St., near Fremont Street and Charleston Boulevard.
The person police say is the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and a chase ensued, according to Metro spokeswoman officer Laura Meltzer.
Police lost the suspect on U.S. 95 and called off the chase. Meltzer did not immediately know where the chase ended.
The female victim was transported to the hospital with serious, nonlife-threatening injuries, Meltzer said.
It appears that the victim knew her attacker, Meltzer said.
