Las Vegas police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a fatal shooting Feb. 9 outside a southeast valley home.
Devin Aluague, 17, was arrested at 10 a.m. Friday in connection with the shooting death of 42-year-old Michael Allen Guinn, police wrote in a release Monday.
Officers were called just after 1:30 p.m. Feb. 9 to the 2900 block of Kennewick Drive, near the intersection of East Vegas Valley Drive and South Mojave Road, where a caller said a man had been shot.
Police found Guinn lying in front of a house with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died, Metro said the day of the shooting.
Metro Lt. Dan McGrath told reporters at the shooting scene that Guinn had a loud argument with a man and a woman in front of the house. The pair got into their vehicle and one of them shot the man once in his upper torso.
Aluague was arrested at a home in the 1300 block of Cashman Drive and booked into the Clark County Detention Center where he faces on count of open murder with a deadly weapon. He has been certified as an adult, the release said.
The second person in the vehicle has been interviewed by Metro detectives and is "no longer being sought in connection" with the shooting, the release said.
