19-year-old motorcyclist in critical condition after Saturday night crash
A 19-year-old man suffered critical injuries after a single-motorcycle accident late Saturday night in the northwest valley, Las Vegas police said.
The motorcyclist, Skylar Jeanroy, was northbound on Sky Pointe Drive on a 2007 Yamaha R6 when he was approaching a curve in the roadway south of Azure Drive.
He applied the brakes but failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway, police said in a news release. The motorcycle fell to the roadway and Jeanroy was thrown off the bike.
Both slid to a stop on the west side of the roadway after hitting a Jersey barrier, the release said.
The 19-year-old was taken to University Medical Center.
This collision remains under investigation.
