28-year-old inmate dies at High Desert State Prison

The Nevada Department of Corrections announced Friday that an inmate who was serving an 18- to 48-month sentence for battery has died.
Carlos Perez, 28, died on Wednesday at High Desert State Prison, where he been held since March 13. It was not immediately known how Perez died.
NDOC is investigating his death.
