A man is dead after he was struck by a Honda Civic at the intersection of Spring Valley Parkway and Rainbow Boulevard at 9:21 p.m. Thursday.
The 1996 Honda was traveling southbound on Rainbow Boulevard, south of Spring Valley Parkway when he hit the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 80-year-old from Reno, was not in a marked crosswalk, according to the police report.
He was then transported to University Medical Center where he later died.
This is the 46th traffic related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2013. The investigation is ongoing.
