Armed robbery suspect caught, school lockdown to be lifted

The suspect involved in an armed robbery Wednesday morning, causing authorities to order Ronnow Elementary School, near Washington Avenue and Pecos Road, to be locked down as Las Vegas police searched for him, has been arrested.

The elementary school’s lockdown order was expected to be lifted about noon, police said.

The robbery occurred about 3:20 a.m. in the 3200 block of south Las Vegas Boulevard near Fashion Show Mall, and one male is in custody, police said.
