Authorities: Remains found at Lake Mead are missing fisherman’s

Authorities say that remains found in Lake Mead about two weeks ago belong to one of three fisherman who went missing after their boat capsized in February.

Clark County coroner’s officials say the body of 45-year-old Las Vegas resident Charles Finley III was found Oct. 18. The cause and manner of his death were not immediately available.

A family member reported the three men missing Feb. 20 when they didn’t call in for the night. The group had been on a multi-day fishing trip.

Their capsized boat and the body of one of the men were found the next day.

National Park Service spokeswoman Christie Vanover says rangers searched extensively for the last missing man after Finley’s body was found by boaters, but they still haven’t located him.
