AWOL Nye County inmate arrested

The Nye County prisoner who didn’t return to jail after being on work release on Saturday has been found.

Jonathan Ross Moncada, 31, left the Nye County Detention Center on Saturday and did not come back when he was supposed to, according to the sheriff’s office.

The detention center reported that Moncada was arrested on Tuesday.

Nye County’s detention center is in Pahrump, about 70 miles west of Las Vegas.
