Bicyclist hurt after car crash, police said

A young bicyclist was injured Sunday evening when a car crashed into the bicycle he was riding in southeast Las Vegas, police said.

About 5:50 p.m., a car crashed into a juvenile riding a bicycle at 6655 Boulder Highway, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Kendall Bell said.

The juvenile was taken to Sunrise Hospital, “with possible substantial injuries,” Bell said. The driver stayed on the scene.
