The Clark County coroner’s office on Thursday identified the boy killed in a rollover crash on the flyover ramp from northbound U.S. Highway 95 to the Summerlin Parkway on Wednesday.
Two-year-old Alden Shi, of Las Vegas, was thrown from a Toyota SUV shortly before 4 p.m. when the driver lost control and the vehicle rotated, hit a barrier and continued sliding into the highway, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
Alden was not properly restrained and died at the scene, NHP said. The driver, who is a 46-year-old man, and a 12-year-old girl were taken to University Medical Center and later released.
The crash was still under investigation and no charges have been filed, NHP said.
