Coroner identifies man killed in northeast valley crash
The 21-year-old man killed in a crash in the northeast valley Friday night was identified Saturday by the Clark County coroner’s office as Manual Barrios, of Las Vegas.
Officers were called about 8:45 p.m. to a single-vehicle wreck in a residential area at the intersection of Los Sedano Circle and Radwick Drive, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Owens Avenue, Metro wrote in a release Saturday.
Witnesses and evidence at the scene indicate Brian Mandujano, 19, also of Las Vegas, was driving north on Radwick in a 2004 Lincoln LS when he lost control of the car, the release said.
The Lincoln rotated counter-clockwise, slid across Los Sedano and hit a block wall on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Barrios, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police originally said Barrios was 22 years old.
Mandujano was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
This was the 53rd traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
