Coroner identifies man who commited suicide at Silverton

The man who shot himself on Wednesday night at the Silverton has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

First responders were called to the casino’s parking lot about 7:30 p.m.. They found Marvin Ray Reddick Jr., 30, on the floor with a gunshot wound, Las Vegas police said.

Reddick was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The cause of dead was suicide by a single gunshot wound to the head, the coroner said.

Lt. Barbara Schmidt of Metro noted that the shooting was recorded by security footage and no foul play was suspected.
