Coroner identifies two people killed in downtown accident

The names of two people killed earlier this month in a three-vehicle crash near downtown were released by the coroner's office Tuesday.

Michael McIntire, 56, and his wife, In Suk McIntire, 54, were killed about 10:45 a.m. Feb. 11 after their 2007 Hyundai Elantra turned in front of a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Symphony Avenue.

The Trailblazer crashed into the right side of the Elantra, which spun and crashed into a 1995 Mazda MX6 that was stopped on Symphony.

Michael McIntire died at University Medical Center. In Suk McIntire died at the scene.

Others involved in the crash suffered minor injuries, Las Vegas police said.

Michael McIntire, from North Las Vegas, was a home delivery runner in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's circulation department for 15 years. He began working at the Review-Journal after 22 years with the Air Force. He was last stationed at Nellis Air Force Base.

He was not working at the time of the accident.
