Coroner IDs central valley shooting victim
A man killed in a central valley shooting this past week has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
He is 33-year-old Rene Ernest Flores-Guevara, staff said Wednesday.
Police responded to the shooting about 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Pine Hills Lodge Apartments, 1500 Karen Ave., near Maryland Parkway. There, they found Flores-Guevara shot in the head.
He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died Monday, according to the coroner's office.
Las Vegas police on Tuesday released surveillance video and descriptions of the three people they say were involved. That includes:
• A man in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and a red "Bulls" hat.
• A woman in her 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, ripped jeans and a green cloth wrapped around her hair.
• An older male teen, likely 16 to 18 years old, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black "Lake Lions" T-shirt with straight, shoulder-length hair.
This is Metro's 65th homicide investigation for 2015.
