Crash closes parts of Flamingo in southeast valley
A portion of Flamingo Road is closed after a two-vehicle crash in the southeast valley, according to Las Vegas police.
Metro responded just before 1 p.m. to a two-car crash in the intersection of Flamingo and Pecos roads.
Heavy rescue crews were called to the scene to remove one person from one of the vehicles, but it was unclear if anyone was hospitalized after the wreck, Hadfield said.
Injuries suffered in the crash didn't appear to be life-threatening, police said.
The number of people involved, as well as their ages and genders, were not available, Hadfield said.
Northbound traffic on Pecos is being diverted onto Flamingo and traffic on Flamingo is also partially closed, Hadfield said. Drivers should avoid the area until at 3:30 p.m. at the earliest, he said.
