Ri Ra Irish Pub in The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host a New Year’s Eve celebration beginning at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 31. A toast is planned at 4 p.m., as Ireland enters 2014. Restaurants in the D Las Vegas, 301 Fremont St., plan to offer special menus for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Joe Vicari’s Andiamo Steakhouse plans to serve a New Year’s Eve menu beginning at 5 p.m. Dec. 31. For $100, guests can enjoy surf and turf (broiled lobster tail with 16-ounce bone-in filet mignon) or for $75, roast prime veal chop with cipollini.

Restaurants at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plan to serve special menus for New Year’s Eve.

Silverado Steak House will offer a $75 four-course New Year’s Eve menu with a bottle of wine for each party of two and entree choices of halibut Princess, filet mignon, scaloppini of venison, chicken Chasseur, shrimp scampi or grilled lamb chops. The menu is available from 5 to 10 p.m.

Don Vito’s plans to serve a $55 four-course menu with entree choices of chicken Don Vito’s, shrimp scampi, garlic-crusted seabass, veal Marsala, osso bucco or filet mignon. For $30, guests can add a lobster tail. The menu is available from 4:30 to 11 p.m.

Primarily Prime Rib’s menu will have four courses for $45, including a cocktail of the diner’s choice and entree choices of chicken Florentine, prime rib, New York strip, white seabass or surf and turf. The menu is available from 5 to 11 p.m.

Baja Miguel’s plans to serve a $24 three-course menu with a margarita. Entree choices are surf and turf fajitas or tequila salmon. The menu is available from 4 to 10 p.m.

The Coronado Cafe’s prix fixe menu is $14.95 and features a cocktail of choice and entree choices of shrimp- and crab-stuffed salmon filet or seared flat iron steak. The menu is available from 4 to 9 p.m.

SILVERTON PLANS NEW YEAR’S MENUS

The Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, plans to ring in the New Year with a four-course menu at Twin Creek Steakhouse from 5 to 11 p.m. Dec. 31. Entree choices are classic lobster thermidor and champagne risotto or pan-seared veal chop. The cost is $75 per person. The regular menu will be available.

Mi Casa Grill Cantina plans to serve a three-course menu with entree choices of poblano-stuffed pork chops or grilled whole fish Vera Cruz style for $25.99 per person. The menu will be available from 4 to 10 p.m., and the bar will be open until 1 a.m. with $2 street tacos.

Jalisco Cantina has opened at 3460 E. Sunset Road and 6450 S. Durango Drive.

The 24-hour restaurant and cantina offers traditional Mexican favorites with a twist, highlighting Jalisco, the Mexican state and the restaurant’s namesake. The menu features seafood from the Pacific Coast, beef from the interior and vegetables. Golden Corral Buffet & Grill has opened a new Las Vegas Valley location Dec. 19 at 1455 S. Lamb Blvd. near East Charleston Boulevard.

The restaurant provided jobs for more than 200 valley residents. A ribbon cutting and dinner for local dignitaries was held Dec. 18.

JAYDE FUZION TO OFFER CONTEMPORARY ASIAN CUISINE AT M RESORT

Jayde Fuzion recently took over the space formerly occupied by Marinelli’s Italian Restaurant in the M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The restaurant offers freshly prepared Japanese, Chinese and Korean small plates with chef Seonkyoung Longest’s Mississippi flair.

PURPLE ZEBRA CANDY AND SLUSH BAR TO OPEN ADJACENT TO THE LINQ

The Purple Zebra, a 4,400-square-foot self-service candy and slush bar, was set to open Dec. 27 at the Flamingo, 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South, adjacent to The LINQ. A floor-to-ceiling display will feature a selection of 38 different novelty vessels from 16 to 100 ounces. More than 30 slush flavors (10 of which are zero-proof) will be available, along with a selection of candies.

HASH HOUSE A GO GO CLOSES AT M RESORT

The Hash House A Go Go location at the M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is being relocated to the Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road.

The M Resort location closed on Dec. 24. The new location is set to open in February and will serve brunch from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
