GRIMALDI’S TO SERVE THREE-COURSE MEAL TO BENEFIT SUSAN G. KOMEN

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, 7155 S. Rainbow Blvd., plans to serve a three-course meal Monday to benefit Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada.

Two seatings are available: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. The meal will feature salad, pizza and dessert for a cash-only donation of $15.

PALMS OPENS SPORTS-THEMED RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE HERAEA

Heraea, a sports-themed restaurant and lounge, was scheduled to open Feb. 17 at the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road.

Created by The ONE Group, the dining concept offerings music and state-of-the-art sports viewing. The menu is classic American with a twist on game-day favorites, including King Crab Cones and Piquillo Pepper Poppers. The décor is inspired by the Heraean Games, the first athletic competition for women in ancient Greece.

Hours are from 11:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Chef Megan Romano plans to host a cooking class, February On the Lighter Side, from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at Chocolate & Spice Bakery, 7293 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 8.

The class will offer instruction in preparation and cooking techniques for a prosciutto-wrapped salmon, whole grain faro salad with kumquat vinaigrette and toasted lemon pound cake and fresh fruit.

Marie Callender’s is offering a Lent Menu through March 31 with a variety of seafood options such as Cajun salmon and jumbo shrimp ($16.99), grilled mahi mahi Cabo tacos ($10.99) and crispy jumbo shrimp dinner ($11.99).

HASH HOUSE A GO GO TEAMS UP WITH FRANKIE MORENO FOR PANCAKE WEEK

Hash House A Go Go has teamed up with Las Vegas performer Frankie Moreno to create a special pancake for National Pancake Week.

Made with bee honey and fresh tangerine juice, the Tangerine Honey pancake was created in honor of Moreno’s song of the same name. It is served with maple syrup and garnished with butter and fresh tangerine wedges.

Hash House A Go Go has extended the National Pancake Week offer for one month, through March 10.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria plans to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Day through Friday by offering a limited edition Thin Mint Cookie Cheesecake for $5 per slice. Proceeds will help support Girl Scout leadership programs in Southern Nevada.

KABUKI SUSHI 101 TO CONTINUE TODAY AT TIVOLI VILLAGE

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant at Tivoli Village, 400 S. Rampart Blvd., Suite 190, plans to continue Kabuki Sushi 101 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today and March 19.

The class is set to be hosted by Yuji Matsumoto, California Sushi Academy founder and Kabuki’s master sake sommelier. Attendees will have a chance to make four of Kabuki’s most popular sushi rolls. Besides a hands-on tutorial from Matsumoto, the class will include sake pairing and a Sushi Swag Bag full of items needed to make sushi at home.

Learn about sensory evaluation, types of wines and grapes, ordering wine and food/wine matching. The cost is $179 per person for all five sessions. Students must be 21 or older.

A Taste of Noodles is planned for today and Feb. 26 at Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery, 4175 S. Grand Canyon Drive, No. 109. Explore various types of Asian noodle dishes and create meals using Italian pastas. The cost is $98 for two sessions.

Simple Main Meals is planned for March 12 and 19 at Ferguson. Learn to incorporate a wide range of food groups into easy, flavorful and nutritious family meals and experiment with herbs and spices. The cost is $98 for two sessions.

Exploring Wine Sensory is planned for March 20-April 17 (no class April 10) at Total Wine & More in Boca Park. Students 21 or older can broaden their wine evaluation skills to include all the senses. The cost is $149 for four sessions.
