TODD ENGLISH PUB CHEF TO OFFER DEMONSTRATIONS TO CIS ACADEMY STUDENTS

Communities In Schools of Nevada is teaming up with chef Jean Paul of Todd English P.U.B. to teach CIS Academy students how to prepare healthy and cost-efficient dishes during a live cooking demonstration.

All ingredients are available on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The demonstration is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at Cimarron Memorial High School, 2301 N. Tenaya Way.

ARIZONA CHARLIE’S ALLOWS PLAYERS TO USE POINTS TO PROVIDE HOLIDAY MEALS FOR THOSE IN NEED

Arizona Charlie’s Boulder, 4575 Boulder Highway, and Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, 740 S. Decatur Blvd., are allowing players to contribute their ace I PLAY points to provide holiday meals for people in need this holiday season.

The Feed a Family program allows ace I PLAY members to contribute any amount of points by visiting the ace I PLAY Center at either location through Dec. 15. For every 12,000 points contributed, Arizona Charlie’s will donate a box of food to the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority.

Each food basket is set to contain a holiday meal with an entree, sides and dessert for a family of four.

The ace I PLAY Center at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The center at the Decatur location is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

TWIN CREEKS STEAKHOUSE ANNOUNCES SMALL PLATES DEAL IN LOUNGE

Twin Creeks Steakhouse in the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, is offering half off its small plates menu in the lounge from 5 to 6 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. STATION CASINOS ANNOUNCES THANKSGIVING MENUS

HASH HOUSE A GO GO ANNOUNCES SPECIAL THANKSGIVING DAY MENU

Hash House A Go Go plans to serve a Thanksgiving Day menu with specials priced from $5.95 to $21.95, including pumpkin bisque, HH Wedge Salad, roasted turkey breast with homemade mashed potatoes, rosemary gravy, old school dressing, vegetables and cranberry sauce and stuffed turkey meatloaf with mashed potatoes and barbecue cream.

Dessert will be homemade pumpkin bread pudding with vanilla ice cream.

GARFIELD’S PLANS HOME-STYLE THANKSGIVING MENU

Garfield’s Restaurant, 2620 Regatta Drive, plans to serve a home-style Thanksgiving menu from noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 28.

The menu is set to start with butternut squash soup with spiced cream and sage garnish or Garfield’s Holiday Salad with toasted walnuts and cranberry vinaigrette. Entree choices will be home-style roasted turkey with seasoned cornbread stuffing and pan herb gravy, pan-seared filet of beef with house steak sauce or grilled Atlantic salmon with heirloom tomato sauce. Dessert will be home baked pies: brown sugar and cream apple, pecan with caramel sauce and Garfield’s traditional pumpkin.

Parties of eight or more have the option of enjoying a whole farm fresh turkey served tableside. Advance ordering is required and supply is limited.

CULINARY CLASH MASTER CHEF COMPETITION SET FOR DEC. 13-14 AT THE VENETIAN

The Culinary Clash Master Chef Competition is scheduled for Dec. 13-14 as part of the Winter in Venice holiday celebration at The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Chef Emeril Lagasse will serve as celebrity judge for the contest, which pits chefs from The Venetian and Palazzo restaurants against each other inside mobile food truck kitchens. Robin Leach is set to host.

A new element this year will be Masters of Mixology, a competition among resort bartenders, hosted by master mixologist Dale Degroff.

Admission to watch the events is free, and the action is set to be broadcast on giant screens along the Strip.

SIXTH ANNUAL CARNIVAL OF CUISINE SET FOR DEC. 14 AT THE VENETIAN AND PALAZZO
