Dining pick of the week: A Thyme for All Seasons

310 E. Warm Springs Road, 614-0023

When clients speak, listen to what they have to say. This company is primarily a successful catering company that opened a café after numerous requests from its clients. It is open only for lunch, but what a lunch. Several appetizers are white bean hummus with pita, homemade potato pancakes with apple sauce and sour cream, and Buffalo-style jumbo wings. There is always a soup of the day, along with turkey and white bean chili with onions and smoked mozzarella. Among the sandwiches, served with fries, are Cuban, Italian sausage sub, pulled pork, chicken Caesar wrap, bacon and egg burger, avocado and roasted corn relish burger, grilled cheese with tomato soup and New York steak with horseradish mayo and fried onions. Larger entrees, called plates, include shrimp stew with peppers, onions, potatoes and tomato in creamy sauce served with roasted garlic baguette, spinach ravioli, shepherd's pie (layers of ground beef, peas, carrots, mashed potatoes), barbecue chicken breast, protein plate (grilled chicken, wedge of cheddar, hard-boiled egg, avocado, tomato) and the Polish plate with homemade pierogi and kielbasa. Plates begin at $7.95 and sandwiches at $5.95. A Thyme for All Seasons is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
