Dining Pick of the Week: Miller’s Ale House

Town Square Las Vegas, 6683 Las Vegas Blvd. South, 702-616-3414

Many important football games are scheduled over the next couple of weeks, and if you like gathering with fellow football fanatics, head to the home of the world famous Zingers. Zingers are boneless chicken wings topped with cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo, or enjoy them with one of several sauces, including hot, garlic, Mount St. Helens, barbecue, teriyaki and honey mustard. The extensive menu has hamburgers (half-pound charbroiled sirloin) and sandwiches such as Philly cheesesteak, barbecue pulled pork, blackened prime rib on toasted garlic steak roll and tuna salad on kaiser roll. There are soups (New England clam chowder, chili), salads (chicken Caesar, Chinese chicken, Southwest bistro steak) and a Raw Bar with clams on the half shell and steamed oysters. Among the seafood entrees are fish and chips with hush puppies, mahi mahi piccata and Miller's seafood clam bake. House specialties are baby back ribs, jambalaya and breaded pork medallions with mashed potatoes and gravy. Featured desserts are key lime pie, apple crisp and Capt'n Jack's Buried Treasure, homemade ice cream cake with Oreo cookie crust, caramel, chocolate fudge and Heath Bar. Miller's Ale House is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
