Dining pick of the week: Urban Grill

Michael Yi is a known Las Vegas restaurateur, and his Urban Grill is described as "American classics with an Asian twist." An appetizer called Twisted Nachos has fried won tons covered with melted Brie and Italian sausage. The Crispy Asparagus Roll is blanched asparagus wrapped with Kahlua pork and cream cheese and rolled in phyllo with a sweet, spicy sauce. Other appetizers are mini street tacos with beef, fish or shrimp, spicy pork lettuce wraps and beef carpaccio. Entrees include bourbon rib-eye, buttermilk fried chicken, Korean spare ribs, grilled cilantro mahi mahi and linguine clams. Popular sandwiches include hamburgers and veggie burgers, lobster hoagie, French dip, grilled chicken and avocado, breakfast burrito (country-style eggs, flank steak, mozzarella) and cold Italian with ham, turkey, salami and Swiss. There always is a soup of the day and salads such as Thai beef (tomatoes, green beans, red onions, rice wine vinaigrette), Cobb, Caesar and the Urban with grilled chicken, strawberries, beets and red wine vinaigrette. Entrees begin at $17 and sandwiches at $9. Urban Grill is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
