Justin William Frye, 20, has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A student at the College of Southern Nevada, he enjoys camping and art. He now is an assistant scoutmaster.

Frye is the son of Gedi and William Frye Jr. of North Las Vegas.

Kelly D. Kofford has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2009 graduate of Basic High School, Kofford is the son of Kevin Kofford of Henderson.

Jasmine Gates of North Las Vegas is a recipient of a $1,500 scholarship awarded by the Scholarships for Military Children Program.

She plans to attend Northeastern University in Boston this fall.

Sydnee Dawnae Spencer, 21, of Las Vegas, graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor of General Studies, disciplines: marketing, management and economics with a minor in economics.

Spencer, a 2007 graduate of Palo Verde High School, is the daughter of Shannon Thomason.

Keonimana'pauole Elvenia, 17, has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A member of Troop 5, he removed shrubs, did maintenance work and helped expand the burial grounds at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery for his Eagle project.

A 2011 graduate of Chaparral High School, he was a member of the Key Club, Art Club and Science Club.

He enjoys paintball, guitar and drawing and hopes to become a graphic designer.

Elvenia is the son of Jaylyn and Darrel Elvenia of Las Vegas.

Eric Michael, 21, was named to the dean's list at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for the 2010-11 academic year.

He is a senior at the university.

Michael, a graduate of Green Valley High School, is the son of Paul and Susan Michael of Henderson.

Courtney Eddins of Las Vegas has received a $1,000 U.S. Bank scholarship.

Eddins is a graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School.

Jessica D. Davis has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

A 2007 graduate of Mojave High School, Davis is the daughter of Audrey Cathy of North Las Vegas.

Sarah Reichardt of Henderson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., on May 22.

Samantha Reed of Las Vegas was named to the dean's list earning highest honors at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, for the spring 2011 semester.
