Junior Team Tennis to start Sept. 19

Junior Team Tennis is set to start Sept. 19. It is a recreational tennis league for youths ages 18 or younger. Matches are planned for one Saturday per month for three months.

Junior Team Tennis offers players the chance to experience the fun of tennis and the thrill of team competition in a user-friendly format. League teams are forming now. Call Rob Merriman at the Nevada Tennis Association at 702-792-8384.

Nevada Senior Games set for Sept. 21-Oct. 11 in Las Vegas

The Nevada Senior Games are planned Sept. 21-Oct. 11 across the Las Vegas Valley. They are open to anyone age 50 or older, with competitions planned in five-year age groups. There are 18 sports covered.

Vegas Sizzling Seniors forming track, walking teams

The Vegas Sizzling Seniors group is looking for people to join its new masters/seniors ages 50 or older team. The team will include track and field, race walking and power walking at the competitive level. It is open to seniors at all fitness levels.

Practices are planned for 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the UNLV Track and at 6:30 a.m. Sundays at various locations, such as parks. Contact carla.f.carpenter@gmail.com.
