PLANS GOLF FUNDRAISER

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission, 480 W. Bonanza Road, plans to host its eighth annual Charity Golf Classic at 7:30 a.m. Friday at the Siena Golf Club, 10575 Siena Monte Ave.

Registration starts at $159 per person, and reservations are required.

NEW BUSINESS CENTER PROVIDES RESOURCES FOR ENTREPRENEURS

Las Vegas has opened a Business Success Center at the Urban Chamber of Commerce, 1951 Stella Lake St., managed by the Nevada Small Business Development Center.

The new center plans to provide various resources, including entrepreneurial training, microloans, professional business counseling and more.

YARN TO ADORN PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
Near Sunrise Hospital & MEdical Center

Seniors plan to cover a pedestrian bridge in yarn near Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway, , with a public unveiling slated for 10 a.m. Sunday as part of International Yarnstorming Day.

TO BENEFIT VEGAS PBS

Flightlinez, 425 Fremont St., plans to host a fundraiser from noon to midnight Monday , with proceeds from rides set to benefit Vegas PBS.

Rides are $15 from noon to 6 p.m. and $20 from 6 p.m. to midnight.

AT WEDNESDAY LUNCHEON

The Las Vegas Senior Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road, plans to host a fitness awareness event and luncheon at 10 a.m. Wednesday , featuring samples of fitness programs, such as zumba and tai chi.

POOL PARTY FOR ADULTS AND KIDS
TO START AT NOON SATURDAY

A summer pool party for all ages is planned from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Las Vegas Municipal Pool, 431 E. Bonanza Road.

The cost is $1 for children ages 4 to 17, $2 for those ages 18 to 49, $1.50 for adults 50 or older and free for children up to age 3 .
