NEW FARMERS MARKET OPENS

The Downtown3rd Farmers Market has launched at 300 N. Casino Center Blvd. and is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday.

Farmers from Nevada, Utah and California are scheduled to sell their produce at the market, which is run by Seth Schorr, CEO of Fifth Street Gaming, Kerry Clasby of The Intuitive Forager and Cheryl MacPherson, food and beverage executive.

Vendors interested may download forms at downtown3rd.com and fax them to 953-4321.

FREE TAX PREPARATION SERVICES
PLANNED AT CLARK COUNTY LIBRARY

The Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, plans to provide free tax preparation assistance for low- to no-income adults who qualify from 10 a.m. to noon every Thursday through April 12.

Line tickets will be given on a first-come, first-served basis to 30 people beginning at 9 a.m. Each attendee is encouraged to bring his driver's license, last year's tax forms and other necessary tax documentation.

KIDS TO LEARN ABOUT NUTRITION
AT CHILDREN'S MUSEUM EVENT

The Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is set to host Kids in the Kitchen with the Junior League of Las Vegas from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The event is set to include activities centered around nutrition for children and their parents.
