The Goodwich packs in flavor at kiosk location

They say good things happen when you least expect them. A job promotion. A new love interest. And now, a Goodwich sandwich.

Located in the Dino's bar parking lot, The Goodwich is easy to miss even when you're looking for it. Wedged between the poles of attorney billboards, the sandwich kiosk's retro charm fits right in with the downtown Arts District.

Opened in January 2014, The Goodwich rightfully prides itself on making "serious sandwiches." The sheer amount of flavor and ingredients packed into each makes them impossible to recreate at home.

Ranging between $3 and $9, the menu is redesigned based on the season. Announcing its fall sandwiches late last month, the eatery currently offers the grilled cheese, Ham& (thick-cut ham, cheddar, greens and mostarda, an Italian condiment made of candied fruit and mustard-flavoured syrup), Bratloaf (seared bratloaf, pickled maystard, Swiss cheese and cabbage), Reuben-ish (house corned beef, Swiss cheese, fennel kraut and Thousand Island dressing) and more.

Each is served on your choice of white, wheat or rye bread.

In addition, customers can also add "stack" items, such as chip bits, a fried egg, chicharones, bacon and chicken skin, for an additional cost. Make it an easy pick-up, and text your order ahead of time to 702-910-8681.

While it's easy to see the success just by looking at the line, the eatery keeps it humble. The Goodwich? More like the Greatwich.

The Goodwich is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and closed Monday. Call 702-910-8681 or visit thegoodwich.com.
