One man is dead and another is facing a DUI charge after a single-car rollover north of Moapa early Saturday morning, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported about 1:20 a.m. on state Route 168 near U.S Highway 93.
Three men were in a white 1992 BMW 325 IS when the driver, Vincent Bushhead, 26, of Moapa, overcorrected when he left the travel lane and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over, NHP said.
David Lee, a 35-year-old Moapa resident, who NHP said was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car and died on the scene.
Bushhead and a 19-year-old passenger who was not identified were driven to University Medical Center, NHP said.
The 19-year-old man’s condition was not immediately available.
When he was released from UMC, Bushhead was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center where he is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence resulting in death, open alcohol container and driving without a driver’s license, according to detention center logs.
