An inmate who slipped away from a Nevada Department of Forestry work crew Tuesday in the east valley has been picked up, according to the Department of Corrections.
Kerran Dade, 21, was found near the intersection of Boulder Highway and Nellis Boulevard, close to Sam’s Town, according to a news release. She was arrested her after a brief foot chase.
Dade was out for less than 24 hours after escaping near the intersection of U.S. Highway 95 and Wyoming Avenue, NDOC said. She is an inmate at the Jean Conservation Camp for Women, about 32 miles south of the Las Vegas Valley.
She was admitted to prison May 12, from Clark County, and was serving 12 to 48 months for an attempted home invasion, NDOC said.
