Fire closes Chili’s, customers not charged for meals

It wasn’t sizzling fajitas that had firefighters responding to a blaze at a south valley Chili’s on Friday, the Clark County Fire Department said.

The department responded to a dumpster fire that spread to the building at 7530 Las Vegas Blvd. South shortly before 3 p.m.

No one was injured, the eatery was evacuated and the Southern Nevada Health District was called, the department said.

The fire remains under investigation. A damage estimate wasn’t immediately available.

A man who answered the phone identified himself as the general manager of the location and said that the restaurant will likely remain closed on Friday and that customers present at the time of the fire weren’t charged for their meals.
