Homeless man found dead in downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help in finding information for the death of a homeless man found in downtown Las Vegas.

The man was found in an alleyway of 600 S. 10th St. on Friday morning, according to a Metro news release.

Patrol officers responding to a homeless camp contacted individuals and discovered an unresponsive adult male with obvious signs of trauma to the face, police said.

Medical personnel on the scene pronounced the man deceased, according to police.

An investigation followed when the department’s homicide detail indicated the victim had been involved in a fight the night before, police said. The autopsy revealed that the victim had a large skull fracture.

This is the 30th homicide investigated by Metro this year. The identity of the victim, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner.

Anyone with information can contact Metro’s homicide division at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
