Las Vegas police identify those involved in Wednesday’s deadly car crash

The names of the five people in a two-car crash that killed one woman in the southwest valley Wednesday were released Thursday morning.

Las Vegas police said Christy Miller, 21, of Las Vegas was driving a 2008 Ford Focus on Harmon Avenue at Jones Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. when she ran a red light and crashed into a 2010 Ford Focus.

The driver of the 2010 Focus, Margareth Naoum, a 51-year-old woman from Anapolis, Brazil, was killed.

Police said Miller suffered minor injuries and her passenger, Jordan Miller, 26, of Las Vegas was in serious condition.

Two passengers in the other car, Maria Paiva, 50, of Brazil, and Rita Tugendlieb, 40, from Oakland, Calif., received minor injuries.

It's unclear whether Miller will be charged. Police were still investigating Thursday.
