Las Vegas police investigating death of a 3-year-old
Las Vegas police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old child Friday afternoon.
At 12:35 p.m., police received a call about an unresponsive child at the 8100 block of Villa Finestra Drive, near the intersection of West Cheyenne Avenue and North Buffalo Drive, Metro spokesman Jesse Roybal said.
The child was taken to MountainView Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Roybal said. Neglect and abuse detectives are investigating the incident, but Roybal said this is the standard protocol in child deaths.
No further information was immediately available.
