Man, 78, in critical condition after hit by car

A 78-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a car Saturday night, Las Vegas police said Sunday.

The identity of the injured man was not released.

Police said at 9:51 p.m., 27-year-old Pang Kuo Hsu, of Las Vegas, struck the man who was crossing Spring Mountain Road from north to south outside a crosswalk.

Hsu was driving a 2010 Honda Civic.

The accident occurred on Spring Mountain west of Stober Boulevard, police said.

An update on the condition of the injured man was unavailable.
