Man accused of impersonating cop in Georgia booked in Vegas

A Georgia fugitive accused of impersonating an officer has been arrested in Las Vegas, the U.S. Marshals Service said Thursday.

Justin Shuler, 31, was wanted by Adairsville, Ga., police in connection with at least one incident in which he impersonated a police officer while in possession of a firearm, the marshals said. He was booked Wednesday into the Clark County Detention Center, where he awaits extradition.

Details on the alleged impersonation weren’t immediately available.

Shuler was tracked and found near the intersection of West Tropicana Avenue and Dean Martin Drive by a task force comprised of local, state and federal authorities, the marshals said.
