Man arrested in fatal shooting during Saturday night party

Las Vegas police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a double shooting Saturday night that left one man dead in the central valley, they said Tuesday.

Terrell Moore, 24, was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release Tuesday.

Police said the shooting about 8:30 p.m. stemmed from a confrontation between the shooter and the two who were shot while they were all at an apartment party on the 1000 block of Weaver Drive, northeast of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Owens Avenue.

Police said the shooter fled when officers arrived. Both people shot were taken to University Medical Center where one later died.

Moore is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon. He has a court hearing scheduled March 2.
