Man critically wounded in NLV shooting

A man was critically wounded and North Las Vegas police arrested several people in a shooting at a home near the intersection of Bruce Street and Centennial Parkway, a police spokesman said.

The 26-year-old man was shot once and taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, police spokesman officer Aaron Patty said.

The shooting stemmed from a domestic relationship, Patty said, adding that "several subjects" were "detained" and were being questioned by detectives.

One of them is believed to be the shooter, he said. Charges had not been announced Sunday afternoon.

The call came in at 1245 Appaloosa Hills Avenue at 10:25 a.m. The man was shot outside the house, Patty said.

Multiple neighbors told the Review-Journal that a woman shot her boyfriend and was inside the home. Two women at the scene were in police custody.

Officers were dressed in tactical gear with their weapons drawn Sunday morning.

More details were not immediately available.

Any information on the shooting can be directed to the North Las Vegas police department at 702-633-9111. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 and www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
