The man who was fatally struck by an SUV as he crossed an east valley street Monday night has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

He is Carlos D. Moreno, 53, of Las Vegas, staff said Tuesday morning.

Moreno was outside of a marked crosswalk on Lamb Boulevard, near Sahara Avenue, when he was struck by 56-year-old James Potts' 1999 Ford Expedition about 8:30 Monday night, Metro wrote in a release.

He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he later died.

This marks the 108th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
