Man found dead after south valley crash

A man is dead following a Tuesday afternoon single-vehicle crash in the south valley.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded about 3:41 p.m. to a vehicle-into-wall crash on the two-lane entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 15, just south of Tropicana Avenue.

The man who was driving the white Toyota Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene, said NHP Trooper Chelsea Webster, but his vehicle sustained minor damage.

Because the man’s car barely scraped the wall, Webster said, officials believe he may have died of an underlying medical condition.

The man’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified.
